Throw it back three decades to when the Air Huarache first dropped. Fresh from designing the Air Max 90 the previous year, Nike legend Tinker Hatfield was determined to colour outside of the lines. He ignored all of the rules in order to create a defiant, unapologetic sneak that redefined how comfort for runners looked, while shaping sneaker culture too!
Named after a Native American sandal, the Huarache was born out of a rebellious spirit, which has been embedded in the silhouette ever since.

When it first dropped, the trainer landed alongside the question, ‘Have You Hugged Your Foot Today?’. Part sock, part performance runner, it literally hugged your foot for unrivalled comfort and a personalised fit. It was first built to be a runner, but instantly became a lifestyle icon adopted by the streets, with sneakerheads and big names all lacing up in the Nike Air Huarache.
The classic is back and it’s keeping the OG design lines for a signature look. Up top, the Huarache combines panels of leather with smooth, neoprene-like fabric for a minimal aesthetic.
